Uploading a receipt

When you make a purchase, the Budgetly app will prompt you to upload a receipt.

One of the key features of the Budgetly mobile app for users is the ability to easily upload receipts.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to upload a receipt to a transaction.

Before you can upload your receipts, ensure that you have downloaded and logged into the Budgetly mobile app.

Step 1

Make your purchase and be sure to hold onto your receipt.

Step 2

Click on the push notification to go to the transaction.

Alternatively, you can go into the Budgetly app and navigate to the transactions screen.

Step 3

Tap the 'Add Receipt' button.

Step 4

If you have the receipt in front of you, tap 'Take a photo...' to open your mobile's camera and take a photograph of the receipt - ensure it is clear and readable.

Alternatively, if this was an online purchase or the receipt was emailed to you - save the receipt file or image to your mobile and tap 'Choose from library'.receipt

Step 5

Wait for the upload to complete, which should only take a matter of seconds!

If your company is on our Premium plan, your GST will be automatically extracted.
