Our GST extraction tool eliminates the need for manually entering GST values into transaction details. Clients who have adopted this feature have reported saving up to 5 hours per week.
How does it work?
When you upload a photo of your receipt to your transaction in Budgetly, our tool reads the GST component from the image and lists it in the transaction data.
This allows you to have the GST already separated out when reconciling.
If GST cannot be extracted from the receipt, it will say 'GST extraction unsuccessful'.
When doesn't it work?
If the tool is unable to read the GST, it will not extract it.
This could occur if:
- The image was too blurry
- The receipt was crumpled or ripped
- The receipt did not list the GST
- The receipt was faded
Can I override it?
Absolutely. If the GST is somehow incorrect from the automated extraction, you can override it by going into the transaction details.
