What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and why is it important?
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security measure that adds extra layers of protection to the login process. It requires users to provide more than just their password, making it difficult for unauthorized individuals to gain access to accounts. This additional step is crucial in safeguarding your information and ensuring the security of your account.
Am I required to set up MFA?
At this time, MFA is optional for admins and users alike.
In the near future, all admins will be required to set it up. Budgetly will communicate the expected date before any changes occur.
How many authentication methods are available?
Two. You can receive your authentication via SMS or an authenticator app.
What is an 'Authenticator app'?
An authenticator app is a secure and user-friendly tool for verifying your identity. It generates unique number codes that you enter along with your login details. Some highly popular authenticator apps include Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator.
Do I have to use Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator?
Not necessarily, there are many authenticator apps on the market.
Some examples include Authy, 1Password and Duo Mobile.

I lost or changed my second-factor authentication device, can it be reset?
If you’ve got a new phone or don't have access to your authenticator app, you can ask an admin to manually disable MFA for you so you can start again.
