Set up MFA: SMS authentication

Our quick step-by-step guides for setting up SMS authentication on your web browser or mobile app.

Budgetly.io (web browser)

  1. In the top right hand corner, click on the company name.
  2. Select 'My profile' for the drop down menu.

  3. On the profile page, click Edit user.
  4. Once on this page, navigate to Security.
  5. Click Enable MFA.
  6. From the two options, select SMS authentication.
  7. Enter your mobile number including the area code if it is not pre populated.
  8. Click Send verification code.
  9. Open the verification SMS on your mobile phone.
  10. Enter the 6-digit verification code in Budgetly.
  11. Click Verify code and enable.
  12. You're all set! Next time you log in, you'll be asked to enter your second factor using your chosen MFA method. See more on that process here.

Mobile app

  1. Navigate to your Settings via the "More" button.Group 47
  2. Under Security, tap 'Enable MFA'.
  3. Select SMS authentication as your MFA method.
  4. Enter your mobile number including the area code if it is not pre populated.
  5. Tap Send verification code.
  6. Copy the code from your verification SMS (depending on your phone, this may auto copy).
  7. Return to the app and paste the 6-digit verification code.
  8. Tap Verify and enable.
  9. You're all set! Next time you log in, you'll be asked to enter your second factor using your chosen MFA method. See more on that process here.
