How to create categories and tags

Set up categories and tags so your users can organise their transactions. This article explains how to create, edit, and manage them in your account.

How to create categories

To get started, from the main sidebar menu:

  • Click Settings.
  • Choose Categories.

Within the Categories page:

  • Click + Add more.

  • Enter the category name.

  • If you need to add more categories, click + Add more.

  • When you're finished, select Save categories.

 


How to create tags

Note: Tags are available on the Premium plan and above.

To get started, from the main sidebar menu:

  • Click Settings.
  • Choose Tags.

Within the Tags page:

  • Enter a group name for the tags (e.g. Department).

  • (Optional) Tick Allow user to select multiple tags if needed.

  • Enter each tag name, pressing Enter on your keyboard after each one.

  • Scroll to the bottom and click Save.
