How to freeze a card
- Open the Budgetly app and tap Cards.
- Swipe to the card you want to freeze.
- Scroll down past Current budget.
- Tap Freeze card.
Tip: A frozen card can be unfrozen by an admin at any time from the Cards page on desktop.
How to cancel a card
Important: Cancellation is permanent and cannot be undone. If the user needs a new card, you’ll need to issue a new one.
- Open the Budgetly app and tap Cards.
- Swipe to the card you want to cancel.
- Scroll down past Current budget.
- Tap Cancel card.
Common questions
Can I reactivate a cancelled card?
No. Cancellation is permanent. A new card must be issued if the user needs one.
Can a frozen card still receive refunds?
Yes. Refunds are accepted back into the account even if the card is frozen or cancelled.
Should I freeze or cancel if I think my card was stolen?
Freeze it immediately to block transactions. If you confirm it’s stolen, cancel it and issue a replacement.
