Physical cards need to be activated before you can use them. Virtual cards are activated automatically when issued — no action needed.
Activate on the mobile app
- Open the Budgetly app on your device.
- Tap the Cards section.
- Swipe to the card showing Pending activation.
- Tap Activate card.
- Tick the confirmation box to confirm you have the card and it’s ready to be activated.
Done — your card is now active and ready to use.
Activate on the web
- Log in to budgetly.io.
- Click Cards in the sidebar.
- Click on the card showing Pending activation.
- On the card detail page, click the Activate card button at the top right.
- Confirm the activation in the dialog that appears.
Tip: Once activated, you can start making purchases immediately. For physical cards, you may also want to set your PIN.
