How to reset your password

There are two ways to reset your Budgetly password — from the login page yourself, or by asking an admin to trigger it for you.

Login pageAny userRequest a reset link from the login screen
Admin resetAdmins onlyTrigger a reset from the user’s detail page

Important: Password reset links expire after 1 hour for security purposes.

Reset your own password

  • Go to budgetly.io/login.
  • Enter your email address and click Continue.
  • Click the Reset password link above the password field.
  • Check your email inbox for the reset link (from info@budgetly.com.au).
  • Click the link and enter your new password.
  • Accept the Budgetly terms of service and tap Set Your Password.

Tip: This works the same on desktop and mobile. On the mobile app, the reset link opens in your phone’s browser, then redirects back to the app.

Admin: reset a user’s password

  • Click Users in the sidebar.
  • Select the user who needs a password reset.
  • Click the menu in the top right of their detail page.
  • Choose Reset password.
  • The user receives a reset link via email to complete it themselves.

Common questions

Can I change my password from within Budgetly?
No. Password changes can only be done through the reset flow on the login page. There is no “change password” option inside the app.
I didn't receive the reset email. What do I do?
Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from info@budgetly.com.au. If it’s not there, try again — reset links expire after 1 hour, so an old request may have expired.
Can an admin set a new password for me directly?
No. Admins can only trigger the reset email. You complete the reset yourself using the link.
