How to add GST to a transaction

Learn how to manually include GST in a transaction if it wasn't automatically detected or added.

 

When to add GST manually

GST is usually detected automatically based on the receipt's details. However, you may need to add GST manually in some cases, for example, if it was excluded or incorrect.

 

How to add GST to a transaction

  1. Go to the Transactions tab in your Budgetly account.
  2. Locate and select the transaction that needs GST added.
  3. In the transaction details window, select the GST dropdown.
  4. Choose the correct GST option (e.g. GST 10%).
  5. The transaction total will be split accordingly between the GST amount and the ex-GST amount.
Changes will be saved automatically.
