When you sync transactions from Budgetly to Xero, each transaction carries a rich set of data — far more than a standard bank feed.
What Budgetly sends to Xero

Tip: A standard bank feed gives Xero an amount and “VISA PURCHASE”. Budgetly gives the merchant name, category, GST, receipt, budget, user, tags, and notes — all in one sync.

Important: Changes made to a transaction in Xero after sync are not reflected back in Budgetly. Edit transactions in Budgetly before syncing.

Does Budgetly sync receipts as attachments?
Yes. Uploaded receipts are attached to the Xero bank transaction automatically during sync.
Can I sync bill payments to Xero?
Yes. Bill payment transactions sync the same way as card transactions.
What does the transaction description look like in Xero?
It includes the merchant name, budget name, user’s full name, masked card number, and any notes — each on a separate line.
