7 things to know about Settings in Budgetly

Settings is a menu at the bottom of the sidebar. It groups everything related to your company configuration, user management, and personal profile in one place.

1. How Settings is organised

Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar. Items are grouped by what they do:

If you don’t manage company settings, you’ll only see My profile and Logout.

2. Manage your profile

Update your personal details, notification preferences, and security settings from My profile.

The Company page holds your business details, preferences, and security settings — all in one place with tabs:

5. Manage your plan and billing

View your subscription, change plans, update payment details, and download invoices. Previously called “Billing” — now Plan & billing.

6. Set up categories and tags

Create spending categories (mapped to your chart of accounts) and custom tags for extra tracking like department or project.

Common questions

Where is the Accounts page?
Accounts is now a top-level item in the sidebar — it’s no longer inside Settings. Click Accounts directly in the left menu.
Where did Preferences and Security go?
They’ve been merged into the Company page. Open Settings > Company and you’ll find Preferences and Security as tabs.
Who can access company settings?
Only users with the Admin role can see Company, Plan & billing, Categories, Xero, and Tags. All users see My profile and Logout.
Can I change my company name?
Your legal business name is verified during business verification and can’t be edited in settings. Contact support to request a legal name change.
How do I log out?
Open Settings and select Logout at the bottom of the list.
