How to manage your profile

The My profile page lets you manage your personal details, preferences, notifications, and security settings.

How to access your profile

  • Click My profile in the sidebar.

Profile tab

  • Navigate to the Profile tab.
  • Update your First name, Last name, Email, or Mobile number.
  • Click Save.

Preferences tab

  • Select the Preferences tab.
  • Adjust your personal preferences.
  • Click Save.

Notifications tab

The Notifications tab lets you control which notifications you receive and how. Notifications are grouped by importance — some can be turned off, others are always on.

  • Navigate to the Notifications tab.
  • Toggle Email, Inbox, or Push on or off for each importance level.

Note: Critical notifications cannot be turned off — they cover fraud, security, and payment issues that need immediate attention.

Security tab

The Security tab lets you manage your MFA settings.

  • Select the Security tab.
  • Follow the prompts to configure multi-factor authentication via authenticator app or SMS.

Resetting your password

You cannot change your password from within Budgetly. To reset your password:

  • Go to budgetly.io/login.
  • Enter your email address and click Continue.
  • Click the Reset password link above the password field.
  • Follow the instructions sent to your email.

Note: Admins can trigger a password reset for another user by going to the user’s detail page, clicking the menu (top right), and selecting Reset password. The user receives a reset link via email.

Common questions

Can I change my email address?
Yes. Update it on the Profile tab. You may need to verify the new email address before it takes effect.
Can an admin reset my password for me?
An admin can trigger a password reset from your user detail page, but they can’t set a new password directly. You’ll receive a reset link via email to complete it yourself.
I'm locked out and can't access the login page. What do I do?
Contact support for assistance. They can trigger a password reset on your behalf.
