3 steps to fund your Budgetly account

Before your team can spend, you need funds in your Budgetly Spend Account. Here’s how to get money in.

1. Add your business bank account

Go to Settings > Accounts > Verified bank accounts and add your business bank details. You’ll need your BSB, Account Number, and a recent bank statement.

Important: The account name must match your company’s legal name. Deposits from non-matching accounts will be rejected.

2. Wait for verification

Budgetly verifies your bank account to prevent fraud. This typically takes 1–2 business days. You can continue setting up users and budgets while you wait.

Common questions

How do I know how much to deposit?
Deposit enough to cover your combined budgets. For example, if you have 3 budgets at $1,000/week each, deposit at least $3,000 per week. You can set up low funds alerts in Settings to get notified before your balance runs out.
Can I deposit from multiple bank accounts?
Yes. You can add and verify multiple bank accounts. Each one needs to go through the verification process separately.
What happens if I deposit from an unverified account?
The funds won’t be accepted. Contact support with the transfer receipt and account details so we can arrange a return.
