How to add or invite a user

Admins can add Budgetly users either by entering their details directly or by sending an email invitation for the user to complete their own setup—this article explains both methods.

 


How to add a user

Let's start from the Users page by clicking the Users menu item on the left:

  1. Click the Add user button top right.
  2. You can assign a single role or multiple roles to a user. If multiple roles are selected, the user will receive the combined permissions of all assigned roles. Click here to learn more about each user role

  3. Optional: Choose to issue a card. You can always issue a card at a later date.
  4. Enter the required details, ensuring accuracy to avoid compliance delays—this includes First and Last Name, Job Title, Gender, Business Email, Date of Birth, Nationality, and Mobile Number.
    1. Card information: If issuing a card, enter the card details—Line 1 is usually the user’s name, and Line 2 the business name. Use only alphanumeric characters; replace hyphens with spaces.
    2. Delivery address: For physical cards, choose a delivery address and select either Express or Standard postage.
  5. Click Add User and you're done!

The user will receive an email invitation to Budgetly, prompting them to set a password and complete their login.

 


How to invite a user

Let's start from the Users page by clicking the Users menu item on the left:

  1. Click the Invite user button top right.

  2. Enter the email address of the person you wish to invite, making sure it is spelled correctly.

  3. You can assign a single role or multiple roles to a user. If multiple roles are selected, the user will receive the combined permissions of all assigned roles. Click here to learn more about each user role

  4. Optional: Choose to issue a card. You can always issue a card at a later date.
  5. Click 'Send invite'.

The user will now receive an email inviting them to Budgetly, where they can set their password and fill in their relevant information.
